Tara Furiani

Tara Furiani was raised in Orange County, California by John and Gloria Rice.

She began modeling and acting at a young age and performing became part of what defined Tara. A cheerleader since the age of 10, she found an outlet for all of her energy & creativity as well as a “sport”. Tara attended John F. Kennedy High School in La Palma, CA and made her family and herself proud with all of the activities she was involved with. From Varsity Cheerleading Captain to Speech & Debate President to Senior Class “Most Spiritied” to Valedictorian, Tara proved there wasn’t much she couldn’t do. After graduation, Tara headed to Fullerton Junior College and stayed a semester while trying to figure out what she wanted to do with her life. After a semester at FJC, Tara transferred to a University and chose her mothers Alma Mater, Loyola Marymount, where she graduated with both her BA in Marketing and an MBA in Organizational Development.

During the course of her career, Tara has worked in and with companies & organizations in the multifamily housing, hospitality, travel, technology, sports franchises and the insurance industries in various capacities from Training to Marketing to Operations to being a company Spokesperson.

In 2005, Tara was hand selected to become a DCT Global Corporate Facilitator. She successfully passed a grueling “try-out” process and is proud to represent the organization.

Tara holds several certifications and designations including: CAM (Certified Apartment Manager), DiSC assessment facilitator (behavioral model), CPLP (Certified Professional in Learning & Performance), CSP (Certified Speaking Professional) and Training Director from Langevin. As a lifelong learner, she continually attends continuing education courses and seminars.

Working with organizations and companies throughout the world, Tara has become highly skilled in a wide array of areas. Some of those include: needs assessments, adult learning theory, instructional design, e-learning & virtual training (including classroom style webinars where learners can see the facilitator… very cutting edge) , utilizing 360 assessments, career pathing development, LMS selection & development, coaching, developing training budgets & financial reporting, project management and so much more!

Being fortunate enough to have traveled the world, Tara to has a wide network of friends and family with whom she stays in close contact with, here in the states and abroad.

Her passions include: entertaining at home, singing, playing along with Jeopardy, traveling to new and exciting places with her husband Paul, playing with her son Luke, learning new languages, and collecting & enjoying wine.
